“Conversations” is a free quarterly virtual series featuring special guests from around the globe who will lead scholarly-based discussions on a variety of topics from “Vocal Health” to “Race and Music.” The virtual program will take place via Zoom every three months on the first Monday of the month from 7-8 p.m. CST. Grab your favorite beverage and a computer, iPad, or phone, and let’s converse! Tips welcome for our guests!

Past Sessions: “Lift Every Voice” took place on October 5 featuring Ernest Harrison, Music Director and Conductor of the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles.  Ernest led a discussion of the heritage of spirituals as protest songs,  as well as the history and importance of “Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing” within the choral tradition and larger U.S. cultural conversation.

COMING SOON: Information on our second session of the series.
