CYC Voice Placement Hearings and Audition Information

As Canta Bella and Camerata are smaller, more selective ensembles, admittance is by audition-only. Auditions look different for each ensemble and are at the director’s discretion. Singers for Camerata must re-audition every year.

Voice placement hearings/auditions are by appointment only in 10-minute increments on selected dates in August, or as needed throughout the year. Voice placement hearings take place via Zoom or at Columbia College and will be scheduled individually after registration has been received. Auditions for Camerata will be in the first week of rehearsals.
